Shooting for the gallery

















In 2007, Popular Photography featured this work by a lady who's equally influenced by the classic painters of the 1600s and 21st century camera technology. An architect by profession, Emanuella Carratoni has devised a method for still life photography that honours the 'chiaroscuro' style of artists like Caravaggio (see an example here).
In the October 2007 issue of Popular Photography she writes "I set the smallest aperture (f/22) on my... 18-55mm lens, the lowest ISO possible (ISO 100) and a shutter speed of 15 seconds".
